About

$ whoami

I am a backend-focused software engineer with a strong interest in building reliable, scalable systems. My work primarily revolves around designing clean APIs, working with relational databases, and implementing authentication, authorization, and data-heavy business logic.

I have experience building production-ready backend systems using Django, Django REST Framework, Express.js, and Golang. I am comfortable working close to the database layer, writing optimized SQL queries, designing schemas, and reasoning about data integrity and performance.

Background

I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. Alongside my coursework, I focus heavily on practical backend projects that simulate real-world systems: discussion platforms, inventory systems, REST APIs, and infrastructure-style tools.

I prefer understanding how systems work end-to-end rather than relying on abstractions blindly. This has led me to work both with ORMs and raw SQL, session-based and token-based authentication, and different deployment environments.

What I care about

  • Clean, predictable API design
  • Relational data modeling and query performance
  • Authentication and authorization correctness
  • Maintainable backend architecture
  • Systems that behave well under real usage

What I avoid

  • Over-engineering without justification
  • Premature optimization without measurement
  • Shallow abstractions that hide important behavior
